I’ve always loved the Fall, with its vivid colors, rich smells and ever present air of change. I can’t think of a better time of year to have relocated our studio to its new home in the Old Clock Tower. I’m excited to be moving into another of Tacoma’s historic buildings (our old studio at 711 Court A had once been the site of Tacoma’s trolley station in the 1890’s). We enjoyed our three years at the old location, watching the neighborhood undergo an exciting revitalization. We needed a larger location, but couldn’t bear the idea of moving out of the neighborhood we’d grown to love. We couldn’t believe it when a great street-level space opened up in the Old Clock Tower, a couple short blocks NW of our old studio. Our new locale had once been the home to the Tacoma Bar and Grill and more recently, the floor model for the luxury condominiums that were to have been part of The Renaissance at Old City Hall.Moving has been an arduous endeavor (to say the least). What started as an empty brick shell has been transformed into a studio we're proud to call our new home. I can't tell you how moved I felt the first night I turned on the lights of the new studio, walked across its vastness and looked out the window into a bustling Commencement Bay. Tacoma is a beautiful city and we're happy to be a part of it.
